Since childhood Harry Keogh has been able to hear and talk to dead people. Through Harry, dead composers and writers reach new audiences; dead inventors see their creations come to life. Seeking revenge after his mother is murdered by a Russian spy, Harry is recruited by Britain's super-secret, psychic-powered spy organization, E-Branch. Like Harry, Boris Dragosani, the head of Russia's ESPionage firm, can hear the dead....but only if he is mutilating a corpse. Unaware that he's dealing with a master vampire, Boris has made a pact with an undead Thing, intending conquer the West with an army of demonic warriors.
